k.d. Lang’s Ingénue 25th Anniversary Concert at the Eastlink Centre, P.E.I.
k.d. Lang was at the packed Eastlink Centre last Friday night and if you weren’t there, you missed an incredible concert. This barefooted lady has sung her heart out for over 25 years.
Caroline Savoie, an Acadian from New Brunswick opened the night with a beautiful set of French songs featuring her robust voice and soulful guitar.
The backing musicians/singers for k.d. were top notch. The sound system was the best I have heard in a few years. There wasn’t a bad seat in the house – the clarity of her voice and music was superb as well as the stage set. She sang a few of my favourites, Miss Chatelaine, plus the incomparable Hallelujah, nobody sings it better!

PEI Color Run in Charlottetown
The famous Color Run™ finally arrived in Prince Edward Island! On July 29th, 2017, the PEI Color Run took place in Charlottetown!
The Color Run™ is an event series and 5 km paint race that is owned and operated by The Color Run LLC, a for-profit company. It takes place in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, New Zealand, Australia, Africa and the United Arab Emirates. The untimed event has no winners or prizes, but runners are showered with colored powder, made of food-grade corn starch, at stations along the run. The Eastlink Centre was the ticketing agent for this race and Sandpiper Studios captured some of the excitement.
What did you think of the event? What was your favourite part?
Check out some more of our great pictures we captured from the fun event! Can you see yourself?
Looking forward to next year! Thanks PEI Color Run!
Bluefield High School Prom
Sandpiper Studios attended the Bluefield Prom 2017 at the Eastlink Centre on June 17th.
Bluefield High School held their annual Graduation Prom Dance this Friday. This is an event that the graduates look forward to every year to celebrate the end of the school year.
The Grads and their dates were dressed in their finest gowns and suits. They looked every bit a successful Graduate ready to take on the world.
The Parents and Student Committee did a great job of decorating the venue and introduced over 2oo students and their dates in just under an hour.
